Supporting Suicide Prevention
Join fellow Lions, families, and friends for a meaningful Friday morning walk during the NYS & Bermuda (MD-20) Lions Convention, April 9, 2027, at Resorts World Catskills.
Together, we'll walk to raise awareness about suicide prevention, support mental health initiatives, and demonstrate the power of community, compassion, and hope.

* Registration: $25 per participant - You can register when you register for the convention.

Walk Out of the Darkness — Into the Light!
Whether you walk in honor of someone, in support of mental health awareness, or simply because you believe in making a difference, your participation matters.
The walk supports the mission of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and helps promote awareness, education, and hope.
Everyone Is Welcome!
Convention attendees, Lions, family members, and guests are encouraged to participate. You don't need to be an experienced walker — just bring your enthusiasm and your commitment to making a difference.

We're asking every Lion attending the 2027 NYS & Bermuda Lions Convention to pack a package of diapers in their suitcase and bring it to the convention to donate to the Diaper Bank of Orange, Ulster and Sullivan, Inc.
Together, we can help ensure that babies and young children in our communities have access to one of life's most basic necessities.
Why Diapers Matter
Every child deserves to be healthy, comfortable, and cared for. Unfortunately, many families struggle to afford enough diapers to meet their children's daily needs.
Diaper insecurity can leave babies in wet diapers for extended periods, contributing to discomfort and health concerns while creating additional financial and emotional stress for parents and caregivers.
Our Lions can make a difference — one package at a time!
About the Diaper Bank
The Diaper Bank of Orange, Ulster and Sullivan, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2024 by Hudson Valley residents who recognized that the need for diapers extends well beyond the City of Newburgh.
Rather than distributing diapers directly to individual families, the organization works through community partners serving residents who need assistance with basic necessities, including food, clothing, and shelter.
This community-based distribution model helps get essential supplies to families who need them most.

Official Notice: This is the official call for the Annual Convention for the Lions Clubs of New York and Bermuda, Inc. (MD-20), Lions Clubs International Inc. to be held the dates of April 9-11, 2027, in Catskills, NY.
We will post more details of the convention once the Council of Governors approve it.
